    Generation ART exhibitor Esther Lovell

Esther created ‘Three Cocoons’ whilst studying A level Art & Design at Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth 1 College, Leicester.

The ceramics were completed after visiting the Venice Biennale 2013. Esther took inspiration from various artists and sculptures, though the root of her work is natural forms and directional lines in nature, for example representing wave like lines.

This is the final piece for a project on vessels that could be used as pots. Working with clay to get the overall hollow, 3D form and final set up was challenging due to its weight, and required a lot of experimentation.
