    Generation ART exhibitor Fenna Tubb

Fenna created ‘Rice Fields’ whilst attending Heathmount School, Hertfordshire.

Fenna used Landscapes as a theme (spaces, fields, expanse), and created this artwork in response to a personal exploration of the subject.

The artist had never previously worked beyond A2,  so this was a great opportunity to go beyond her comfort zone.

With little space to work in, she created a pitch in a dark school corridor to drive her ideas through.

This work explores the theme of landscapes; particularly the idea of a broody landscape combining dark with light and allowing for personal expression.

There was no time for a gallery visit, but Fenna researched various artists including Turner, Joseph Wright of Derby through to Mark Rothko and Gerhard Richter, using the Tate website.

Fenna had never previously worked beyond A2 and so this was a great opportunity to go beyond her comfort zone. With space limited, she created a pitch in a dark school corridor to drive her ideas through.
