This work explores identity and how hands have a very important role in communicating.
Lauren was part of a small group of young artists on a five-month residency at Spike Island Studios.

During this time, Lauren met other studio holders, visiting residency artists Melissa Gordon and Aaron Mcpeake, and Room 13 Hareclive Patron Richard Long.

Lauren worked from her own ideas, learning the limits of the materials in relation to what she was hoping to achieve – then re-thinking what was possible.
