Amira Abdullah created the lino print ‘Fish Market’ while studying Art & Design A level at Beauchamp College, Leicester.

I was inspired by Jonathan Marquardt work when creating my lino prints. The way he applies the technique using other forms of medium to create work in mixed media this includes oil painting and primarily block printing using linoleum covered blocks (linocut.)

The process in which I create my lino print is similar to the one Jonathan uses but the difference is I achieve the bold patterned look in one print whilst Jonathan in his current work achieves this in carving away the block each time to achieve the toned look.
